ChuckWarbingtonExecutiveDirectorAnAmericanStoryThestoryoGwinnettVillageisverymuchanAmericanstory.Itsastoryaboutbringingpeopletogetherthoughtheymayhavecomeromanynumberopointsontheglobe.Thatswhathasmadethiscountrygreat.Itseemsthatthesedaysweareotendenedmorebyourdierencesthanbyourcommonalities.Itseasytoorgetthatthisisanationodreamers.Anationbuiltbyovercomingchallengesanddierencestoaccomplishextraordinarythings.Itsastoryinwhichwehavetheabilitytowriteournextchapterratherthansitidlytoseewhattheutureholds.AnAmericanstoryusuallyincludesaprotagonistwhohaspulledthemselvesupbytheirbootstrapstoovercomesomeseeminglyinsurmountableobstacles.GwinnettVillageisullothesecharacterspeopleworkingdayinanddayouttomakeabetterlieorthemselvesandtheiramilies.OurgoalattheCIDistobuildacommunitysuchpeoplecanbeproudtocallhome.Ibelievethat2013wasayearwewilllookbackonandsaythatwastheyearthiscommunityturnedthecorner.Inthepast12monthsweveseenbusinessescontinuetoinvestintheareaandthosethathavemadethatdecisionarethriving.SomeoGwinnettVillageslargestprojectstodatehavebeencompletedorareunderconstruction.Andeverydaywehavemoreandmoreresidentsandbusinessownerstakinganinterestinseeingthisareafourish.ThereisnoplaceintheentiresoutheasternUnitedStatesthathaswhattheVillagehasAcommunitysorichinculturaldiversitythatitstandsapart.WeattheCIDunderstandthatthisisquitepossiblythegreatestassetthatwehaveatourdisposalandweintendtohighlightitoryearstocome.IyouareamiliarwithGwinnettVillageIencourageyoutostayengagedbecausethenextewyearswillbesomethingtobehold.IyouarenotamiliarIencourageyoutotakealookatthisannualreporttoseewhatwehavegoingonandwhatthiscommunityisallabout.
