On Thursday, June 11, the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District (CID) launched a beautification award program with their first ever “Vibrant Village” award presented to Eagle Rock Distributing Company.
“The improvements that Eagle Rock has made to their property epitomize what this award is all about; showing the impact that individual property and business owners can have on the community by improving the overall aesthetic of their property,” said Chuck Warbington, executive director of the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District.
The aim of the program to recognize commercial property owners, neighborhoods, and business establishments for new landscaping, aesthetic improvements and maintenance of street frontage within public view.
“The CID is working hard to improve the roadside aesthetic of the CID, but our authority lies within the public realm,” said Warbington. “Individual property owners who take the initiative to improve their own property can have a huge impact on making this community even more attractive to residents and businesses alike.”
Eagle Rock Distributing Company recently purchased the property at the corner of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Best Friend Road. The company relocated their headquarters, bringing 300 new jobs to the community and investing over $19 million in improvements.
In addition to their beverage distribution business, Eagle Rock recently celebrated the grand opening of Eagle Rock Studios Atlanta, one of the largest collections of TV sound stages in Georgia.
“We are extremely proud of our new headquarters,” said Fran Lutz, chief financial officer for Eagle Rock Distributing Company. “We intend to complete some additional investment in the near future to maintain that roadside appeal we’ve worked to develop closer to the Studio.”
The CID presented Lutz with the award at their regularly scheduled board meeting and will recognize them in their quarterly newsletter as well.
