Gateway85 CID conducts ongoing landscape maintenance to keep the district both attractive and safe. Routine beautification efforts include mowing rights-of-way, roadside trash pickup and sweeping main roads. The CID also manages landscape installations and maintenance along key corridors such as Beaver Ruin Road, Indian Trail Road, Buford Highway (south of Jimmy Carter Boulevard), Brook Hollow Parkway, Jimmy Carter Boulevard and the four I-85 interchanges within the district.
Detailing Gwinnett’s Gateway:
In October 2024, Gateway85 CID collaborated with Gibson Landscape for its largest cleanup effort since the CID’s founding in 2006. To mark National Cleanup Month, Gateway85 launched Detailing Gwinnett’s Gateway, a transformative project that beautified nearly 100 miles of district roadways. This effort not only strengthens the CID’s ongoing streetscape enhancements but also underscores the district’s appeal as a thriving business hub.
Nine crews—totaling 40 people—worked across 20 priority locations, including major roads and entrances along I-85, making the district cleaner and more inviting. Beyond the usual weekly collections, crews removed more than 150 bags of debris, including tires, pallets, mattresses and even tents—items that contribute to urban blight. Roads included in the cleanup were Harbins Road, Financial Drive, S. Norcross Tucker Road, N. Norcross Tucker Road, Old Norcross Tucker Road, Nancy Hanks Drive, Button Gwinnett Drive, Best Friend Road, Pelican Road, Live Oak Road, Jimmy Carter Boulevard (from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Highway 29), Mitchell Road, Beaver Ruin Road (to Arch Road), Indian Trail Road (to Dickens Road), Oakbrook Parkway, McDonough Drive, Graves Road, Singleton Road, Crescent Drive and the I-85 Corridor.
