Following the 2007 Jimmy Carter Boulevard Corridor Study, Gateway85 CID received a 2017 ARC Livable Centers Initiative study grant to complete a 10-year study update that included new parcels south of Singleton Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard Intersection all the way to Britt and Williams Road totaling 3.9 miles. The study sought to preserve and enhance the multi-cultural identity of the corridor while providing more accessibility, walkability and transit options to create a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and area businesses.
