Tax Allocation District

Tax Allocation Districts (TAD) are used nationwide as an economic development incentive to attract quality development to an underutilized or distressed redevelopment area. Georgia’s Redevelopment Powers Law gives local governments the authority to sell bonds to finance infrastructure and other redevelopment costs within a specifically defined area.

There are two approved TADs within Gateway85 (one centered around the Jimmy Carter Boulevard & I-85 interchange and the other at the Indian Trail Road & I-85 interchange).

COVID-19 Resources

Need COVID-19 Supplies?

If your business is in need of hand sanitizer, masks, face shields and more, you can download a complete list here. The GDEcD is collecting information from Georgia companies that indicate they are producing essential medical supplies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is sharing this information with Georgia’s units of local government and other potential in-state buyers as a courtesy. The product information and addresses were submitted by private companies to GDEcD and the list does not constitute an endorsement of any particular company or product by the State or by GDEcD.

COVID-19 Workplace Best Practices

The Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale Health Departments are working hard to keep businesses informed on best practices in the workplace regarding COVID protocols. They recently produced a COVID-19 Guide to serve as a tool for Gwinnett businesses. You can find the guide here.

We hope it proves helpful to you. If you have questions or need more specific guidance, please visit www.gnrhealth.com/covid-19-info/.
