WEEKEND CONSTRUCTION ON
JIMMY CARTER BOULEVARD BRIDGE POSTPONED
(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 18, 2015) – The Gwinnett County Department of Transportation has postponed the Jimmy Carter Boulevard bridge closure at I-85, originally scheduled for March 20 – 23, 2015, due to the forecast for rainy conditions over the weekend. The crossover to the diverging diamond interchange requires dry conditions so that all of the construction can be completed before Monday morning rush hour.
The closure has been rescheduled for the weekend of March 27 – 30, 2015, weather permitting.
Gwinnett County appreciates the patience of the traveling public during the completion of this important project that will improve traffic flow and safety at this interchange.
